This is the recipe I use for red velvet brownies...

    Ingredients:

1 cup butter, at room temperature

    3 cups sugar

    4 eggs

    4 tsp vanilla extract

    2 1/2 cups flour

    1⁄2 tsp salt

    6 tbsp cocoa powder

    4 tbsp red food coloring

    Method:

    - Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and line an 8 x pan

    - In a bowl mix cocoa powder, 2 tsps vanilla extract, and the food coloring until you get a thick paste

    - In a larger bowl beat the sugar and butter together until they're fully combined and then gradually add in each egg, beating with an electric mixer after each addition.

    - Finally add in the rest of the vanilla, the paste you mixed up earlier, the salt, and the flour and beat until everything is incorporated and you have a smooth batter.

    - Pour into pan and bake for around 25 minutes (more or less time depending on your oven)

I generally use a cheesecake frosting to top them.
