How to oxidise ethanol to acetic acid naturally...(?)?

Would it oxidise by being sat in a shallow dish for example ? Or any other way without using chromium-whatever? Thanks

    Probably not.

Normally, this is done by bacteria that convert the ethanol to acetic acid. You can find the bacteria as a sediment in bottles of "Natural Vinegar". Adding that to wine might work. You can't add them to pure ethanol, because the alcohol in high concentration would kill the bacteria.

Acetic acid bacteria will do it for you.
