How does the slope of the line of best fit of a position versus t^2 graph represent another way of measuring the acceleration of gravity? Thank you sm in advance

    This is a standard mathematical "trick"

    if s = 1/2 a t^2

    then "invent" a letter "k" which has the value of 1/2 a

    Clearly s = k t^2

    now choose another letter "x" which has the values of t^2 at each point.

    s = kx

    which must be a straight line if the original equation is correct

    and of course if k = 1/2 a

    then a = 2k or twice the gradient.
