When you are taking the square root of a number, your answer will be a number that, when multiplied by itself, will equal the number found inside the square root.

For example, the square root of 25 is 5, because when you multiply 5 by itself (so, 5 times 5), you get 25, which is the number you had inside the square root.

Squaring a number is exactly what you just did with 5: squaring a number means you multiply it by itself.

For example, when you square 6, you multiply 6 by itself (so, 6 times 6), and get 36. Likewise, 3 squared is 9, because 3 times 3 is 9.

the square root is the number in which you multiply it by itself to get your answer

For example: 3 is the square root of 9 because when you multiply it by itself you get 9.

when you are squaring a number, that means that you are finding the square root of a number.

For example: if you are trying to square 16, you are just trying to find the square root of 16 which is 4.

    Hope that helped!!!
