I need to know the statute of limitations on forgery of a business license for the state of Alabama.?

Because my mother opened a restaurant with my father . business license in her name many years ago. My father passed away. My sister started to run it while my mother was out of town and my sister forged the business license to her name without my mother's knowledge. So my mother and I want to know if there's any legal action we can take being that it has been over 10 years and if the statute of limitations applies in this situation

Consult with a local lawyer. It varies by state. The SOL also likely begins when your mother first found out. She will have to talk to a lawyer for him to determine whether he can make a case out of the current facts.
