"Wisdom" teeth are called that because they used to show up when people were in their late teens to early 20's -- the same time they finished school, became adults, and became "wise"

While that is still a common age, many patients are getting wisdom teeth earlier, sometimes at 14 or 15.

The best time for the teeth to be removed is when the dentist says it's time.

generally it varies from person to person (age ranging from 18 -25 years) now a days, but some may take even longer time to erupt. Removal depends on the problem the wisdom teeth is causing and their is no age specification for it.

wisdom teeth don't appear until the age of 18-20 years of age and have them removed when a dentist says they should come out
