How to recover from fatigue after excessive sweating?
Perhaps someone can help me understand my condition after excessive sweating. I'm a 50 year old male of average build, lean, and in good health. However, I sweat a lot in hot and humid conditions. Much more so than my wife. When I rest at the end of a day of hiking or touring or working in the garden I'm exhausted, and it sometimes takes a couple days to recover. I drink vitamin fortified water as well as plain water, but perspiring, not the activity, just wears me out. Any advice on how to quickly recover from this condition?

I'm not sure its the sweating. I sweat a lot too and it doesn't bother me. However, I seem to also be more prone to sun/heat exhaustion. Maybe you are, too.
the sweating may not be cause of the problem - but a symptom.
If your wife has a nice full head of hair and you don't - that could be part of the problem. It seems like I didn't have this problem until my hair started thinning.
Also it could be just your metabolism. you could just run hotter than your wife.
So the solution/cure/treatment is just keeping cool.
Wear a hat that keeps the sun off your head but allows for ventilation and cooling.
Soak a bandana in cold water and wear it around your neck. they even have high tech versions of this - maybe buy one or two.
They also have shirts, hats, neck things that have gel packs that go in the freezer. I bought my self a "misty mate" which can constantly spray water on your neck and head.

You ARE NOT in good health.
You condition IS NOT caused by sweating. But your sweating is caused by your condition.
It sounds very much as if you have growing heart problems AND YOU NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR NOW, before you suddenly drop dead.
