Degenerative disc disease?

I am 24, my back has been on and off bad for years, it flares up for no reason and I cannot even stand up straight some days, this week its awful, the pain is running all through my left leg and I cannot look down. I have been doctors and they are terrible and just give me pain killers, my mum suffers with degenerative disc disease and my symptoms are the same... is there any treatment I can get to sort it out? I am so fed up living on pain killers its in the bottom middle of my back and it feels like nerve type of pain :( would an osteopath/physio help or is it a waste of money?

I go to an Osteopath and find it a great help BUT you need to see an Orthopaedic Surgeon and have an MRI scan.

These days you have to insist as I did when I needed a knee replacement.

Pills are just a put off.

Go back to the Doctors and tell them what you want.
