If Trump is such a smart businessman, how did he lose $900 million?
While I understand the real estate and casinos are not exactly the safest business opportunities out there, I am curious how a self-described smart and savvy businessperson put themselves in a position to lose this kind of money. This seems like an awful large mistake for someone who wants us to believe that he is good at his job.

You clearly do not have a clue about the Casino businesses in Atlantic City. 2012 the Revel Casino came on line, Golden Sachs had invested 400 Million into a 2.1 Billion dollar project, GS walked away and Revel went into BK 2014 were its was purchased for 86 Million pennies on the dollar
Five AC casino have gone BK and closed over the past few years
AC Casino's bread and butter was the day trippers , it was never a destination spot, the last thing a person wants to do is walk the streets around the casino at night , so once other casino appeared on the North East cost like CT, PA etc revenue dropped 48% for the AC casino's something had to give

That was his own money, and one of the few failures of his multiple successes. It's not like he gave $500 million of the taxpayers' money to Solyndra.
