What are your views on promises?

Promises are obviously meant to be kept and NEVER broken.

If you regret having made a promise to someone, you'll just have to live with it and just do whatever it is you promised you'd do. I believe that to break a promise, is a sin...a big sin. It may be just a small promise but it has an affect on your values. So don't make promises you can't keep!

My views on promises are a lot of us believe in them because who wouldn't want things to last longer than we expect it to be?

For me, promises are meant to be broken because they're usually just things that we intend to keep but in the end, we eventually lose. If someone is going to say what about vow, well are we even sure that there's an afterlife? Promises are meant to be treasured like memories. This is because we can't know how valuable a person/thing is in our life unless we know how honest they are with their intentions.

THe whole point of a promise is that you're going to continue doing or not doing something.

Someone who breaks promises doesn't respect their own value and word. They're not worth your time.
