How did jhon the babtist die?

O John! Hold fast the Book with all your strength. We had bestowed wisdom upon him while he was still a child; and We also endowed him with tenderness and purity; and he was exceedingly pious and cherishing to his parents. Never was he insolent or rebellious. Peace be upon him, the day he was born, and the day he will die, and the day he will be raised up alive. (Quran 19: 12-15).

I am assuming you mean John the Baptist. He was imprisoned by this guy (I think it was Herod). And during this party he saw this girl and he liked her very much and offered her anything she wanted. She said she wanted John the Baptist's head on a silver platter. He didn't want to kill John because too many people liked him, it would not have been great for PR, but he did it because he had offered whatever she wanted. (This is the Biblical story)

John was beheaded by Herod Antipas - the price Salome (his niece and step-daughter) extracted for performing the Dance of the Seven Veils. Herod had said she could have anything, and when she asked for the prophet's head on a plate, he was forced into it. John had been imprisoned for criticising Herodias, Herod's wife, who was thought to be behind the demand for his execution.

It is now in the Great Mosque in Damascus if it hasn't been blown to bits yet, but many religions claim custody of it, including the Pope and the Knights Templar.

Well, you can't find that out in the quran because it's not there. So you have to go to the original source, the Holy Bible.

    Gospel of Matthew, chapter 14.

14 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard the reports about Jesus, 2 and he said to his attendants, “This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead! That is why miraculous powers are at work in him.”

3 Now Herod had arrested John and bound him and put him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, 4 for John had been saying to him: “It is not lawful for you to have her.” 5 Herod wanted to kill John, but he was afraid of the people, because they considered John a prophet.

6 On Herod’s birthday the daughter of Herodias danced for the guests and pleased Herod so much 7 that he promised with an oath to give her whatever she asked. 8 Prompted by her mother, she said, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.” 9 The king was distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he ordered that her request be granted 10 and had John beheaded in the prison. 11 His head was brought in on a platter and given to the girl, who carried it to her mother. 12 John’s disciples came and took his body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus.

He was thrown into prison by Herod Antipas because John had reproved Antipas for his adulterous marriage to Herodias, whom he had taken away from his brother Philip. Antipas, nominally a Jewish proselyte accountable to the Law, was afraid of John, knowing him to be a righteous man.—Mr 6:17-20; Lu 3:19, 20.

During Herod’s birthday celebration the daughter of Herodias delighted Herod with her dancing, upon which Herod swore to her that he would give her whatever she asked. Influenced by her mother, she asked for the head of John. Herod, out of regard for his oath and for those present, granted her request. John was beheaded in prison and his head was delivered on a platter to the girl, who brought it to her mother.
