Do you use German for anything? I've been learning Japanese because I wanted to read manga. Now I read manga in Japanese and someday in the future I'll watch anime without subtitles.

I've had friends who tried to learn English for like 6 years without any progress, merely because they don't use English or visit English websites.

The best way to learn German is actually need German for something. Just a minute ago I saw someone asking on this very site if they were stupid for learning Russian because they don't use Russian for anything.

So go find something you need German for and keep doing that until you master the language.

Continue studying, it could take plenty years more to become fluent. Search through various different websites or courses to learn plenty of what you can. Using it in small everyday conversations can definitely help as well. If you're social, finding someone online who you could potentially learn from could help but don't forget that your safety comes first.

Go to live and work in Germany.

My English uncle, with "schoolboy French" worked for a year in a car factory in France. At the end of that year he was assumed by a Frenchman to be a Frenchman with "quite good English".

Immersion. Find a German-speaking group and go to their meetings.
