Enlisting in the army 31b 31k questions?

So I haven't talked to a recruiter yet. I have lost 100lbs so far and I have about 30 more to loose. So in the mean time I want to research an mos. so 31k in the army is a dog handler, if you don't certify as that do you just get bumped to a 31b? Or do you go To infantry?

    For starters that MOS is about 2 years old

    And they train 120 new 31Ks a year. 120 out of the 70,000 new Recruits the Army brings in every year. Next to wanting to be a SEAL every kid on here wants to be a MWD handler. So you do the math on your chances of getting 31K. I'd encourage you to buy a lottery ticket. You'll have a better chance of winning.

    Aside from that if you fail out of MOS training you'll get assigned training based on needs of the Army. You'd be lucky to get Infantry in tvat case.

    you cannot enlist as a 31k

    you have to have 4 years experience as a 31b first, then cross train into the mos

    Actually once you take the ASVAB and they see your line scores they'll offer you jobs based on them, not what you want to do if you don't qualify.
