Are you drying your hair before going to bed, if washing them @ night?

If you're using hair conditioner, you've got conditioner build-up. Many people don't even NEED conditioner. I haven't used that stuff for over 20 years. We also have soft water. AND, you don't need it, if you've got natural hair, no perms, no chemicals, not damaged.

It's also possible, you're using the wrong shampoo.

Are you using other hair products on your hair?

After years of se arching around for a good sh ampoo to he lp with my oily, greasy, hair, I have finally f ound a great solution Dermo Biotin S hampoo. My hair is already pretty thick, so it makes it a bit thicker, however, it strips the oils out of my hair when washing. This is personally very great since my hair increasing gets oily throughout the day. The p rice is a bit higher than other shamp oo bra nds; but it has biotin and I am willing to p ay a little extra since this w orks so incredibly well. Sear ch on goo gle dermo biotin sha mpoo

Basically: if you have very oily and greasy hair, this will totally wo rk for you.

If you used conditioner just try rinsing your hair thoroughly as it probably just didn't get all washed out.
