Failed cooling fan, or the heat sink plugged up with dust.
On a desktop it's relatively simple, you take the cover off, locate the fan and heat sink, and clean it out with a small brush and a can of compressed air.
On a laptop it can be more difficult to access the heat sink, but the same thing needs to be done.

Turn it off, Unplug it. Remove the Side Cover and clen out all the dust. Make sure you clean the FAN and HEAT Sink over the CPU>
