Pickles: whole, spears, chips, slices, baby, which is the best value? as far as weight per jar.?

    that depends on what you wish to use pickles for!! and the type of pickle it is!

    I have people in my house who want only bread n butter Vlasic pickles!! I have others who want slabs of pickle which whole pickles hand sliced are best.

    I have all sorts of pickles in my snack refrigerator with no mind as to the best value, cost per, or any other reason.

    Pickles are cheap either way. The spears tend to take up more space in a jar, as do the whole ones, so you get more. But spears taste terrible unless they are the refrigerated kosher dill ones from Claussen.

    Whole is probably the best value if you mean the cheapest, as they are less processed.
