How much dog food should I be feeding a small dog and how often. I have 2 Chihuahua's, both 6 months old.?

Check on the bag of puppy food, it will suggest how much food to feed them by weight per day, divide that amount by 2, feed half in the morning and half in the evening. If your vet wants them fed three times per day then follow what the vet recommends, it's still the same amount of food just divided by 3.

Also make sure each pup is eating from their own bowl, I usually feed my one pup in the back of the kitchen and his brother in front that way they don't switch around and we know how much each pups eating for sure. The problem with sharing a food bowl is that one pup may be dominant or just a greedy eater and might eat faster and get the majority of the food. When you feed them seperate you know who is eating what. I used to do side by side feelings, that didn't work as the pups would switch from bowl one to two and back. It's pretty much a puppy thing so to prevent it they are fed about 10 feet apart.

I have 2 Chihuahua 4 and 6 lbs and they get 1/8 cup twice a day. Best to ask your vet they are growing

It depends on the brand. Theres a daily feeding guide on the packet or the website, based on your dogs weight. Split that into two meals a day and feed half in the morning and half in the evening.

You should know how much your dogs weigh from their worming and flea meds.

Reputable breeders don't allow two pups to go together. Google litter mate syndrome, and return one.

Should have done your research before getting the dogs.

Dogs are individuals, and should be fed accordingly.
