Did the government get rid of the ban of Kinder chocolate eggs?

I am from NJ and there are a lot Polish stores in my area that sell kinder eggs. When someone told me these eggs were banned in the US, I just didn't believe them since they were always sold in these stores.

Yes, the FDA finally got rid of the nonsensical ban on Kinder Eggs.

Previously they were banned because apparently us Americans are too stupid to know not to eat something that's not food. The actual law was you can't put inedible items (plastic egg) inside food (chocolate egg.) Of course this ignored other American things like Cracker Jacks, or putting little toys inside cereal boxes....

And, yes, people were stopped at the border and actually arrested for trying to bring a Kinder Egg into the US, as a gift or something.

    Like I said...stupid, nonsensical law.

No, the Kinder Sorpressa is still illegal. There are variants of the egg which are legal though.
