If someone invites you over saying that they will fix breakfast would you be miffed to have the meal be coffee with bagels and cheese?

You should ask them if you can bring anything, and then they might tell you what's on the menu to prove to you that you don't need to bring anything. If it's really nothing, then they may say it's okay to bring something.

I would love for someone to invite me over and I am happy to have whatever anyone else is having, so if it is bagels and coffee, I would be grateful that I do not have to fix my own breakfast - always a chore - and to have company to eat with.

I'd be happy to have the company and a bagel (if it's fresh that morning). However, when I fix my own breakfast at home, it's either cereal and tea if I'm in a hurry, or a breakfast burrito if I have time to make one.

Absolutely not; if all the person had was bagels, cream cheese, and coffee (or orange juice even), I would be perfectly content with it. It wouldn't matter to me if it was just bagels and cream cheese with just coffee, orange juice (or both) to drink, cereal, oatmeal, bacon, eggs, and toast, maybe French toast, or even pancakes and the aforementioned two with sausage or bacon, or even biscuits and gravy. As I said, whatever they had planned, even if it was only bagels with cream cheese, I would be happy.

I hope it's cream cheese, cause I don't like bagels with regular cheese. If it's regular cheese, I'd eat the bagel plain. If there's cream cheese, look I'd put it on the bagel myself.

People have very different habits for breakfast - I gather some office workers buy coffee and a cake on the way to work - I can't get my head round that; it would make me throw up.

Depends on what kind of cheese they have with the bagels and it would have to be decaf coffee.

No because I'm not an ungrateful a**hole, I'd be more than happy with anything that was given to me but I'd be happier with just the gesture that someone actually offered to make me breakfast.

It's misleading, but you didn't get miffed. They never specified what breakfast will entail
