Program to convert video audio?
I have mkv files and they have dts audio. The problem is that Xbox One won't play dts audio so I need to re-encode it, but every program wants me to re-encode the entire video which takes forever. Is there any way to just re-encode the audio without having to redo the video as well?

If the conversion is still taking forever, then the problem is with your system. It should only take a few minutes on a good one.

Not sure whether there is such a video converter that only converts the audio files.
The conversion times depends on the size of the video, the presets of the converted video such as the format, resolution, etc as well as your system.
You can try MacX DVD Ripper Pro free edition if you are a Mac user. It is free but the conversion speed is fast. Hope it will be helpful.

Even though it's really a tough problem, there still are solutions to fix it. As far as I know, such as Winx video converter, Wondershare video converter ultimate, WonderFox HD Video Converter Factory Pro and so on. I have used Winx video converter and HD Video Converter Factory Pro, because their good reputation.
WonderFox HD Video Converter Factory Pro will have a discount during Thanksgiving day. Hahaha,,
