    Steve Bartman was never to be blamed.

    Do people remember the Gonzalez error later that inning? That to me was a bigger factor.

    99.9999% of fans in his situation would have reached out for the ball....and there were others in that scrum that are probably more to blame.....Bartman was a victim of a mob mentality.

    They should invite him to throw the Opening Day pitch next year, and if he declines and wants to be left alone, the media should respect him and finally never mention him again.
