I met a guy a few times and be said he feels like we have a divine connection... what does that mean? Is that a player line?

A divine connection could be a saying in his particular religion or belief. It could mean that he believes a higher power has connected you both.
A divine connection can also be seen as what we call "Chemistry". If you get along with someone and there's a mutual attraction, we call that "Chemistry".
This particular guy might be using the term "Divine Connection" to mean "Good Chemistry".
