My 2001 Honda Civic does start. The dash board lights started flashing when I put the key in the ignition then when I turned the key, the motor would turn over but not start. What is happening to it?

It sounds like an almost dead battery. Remove the battery out and take it to an auto parts store. They can check it for free and will tell you if it's still any good.

Check for spark and injrtor pulse. if they are not present you have a bad crankshaft sensor. it may also be the fuel pump. Check the fuel pressure. If you can't do this get a mechanic!
