Which bank should I go with?
Just want to go open a regular bank account so I can access my money after getting paid. Sorry, first time getting a job etc.
Went to HSBC but they took weeks longer than supposed to, to get back to me when I filled out forms to open an account.
Thinking between Santander and Barclays now?

Hello Drewbie,
I have banked with Lloyds for years and have always found them very good and fair.
On one occasion I forgot to pay my credit card and was charged a non payment fee but when I rang them and explained they waived to penalty.
They also have a system where they join with other companies such as Waitrose and Morrison which when selected will repay you up to 10% of anything you purchase. This of course is for a limited period but they very often appear to be chosen again.
Although you won't gain a fortune as you know, every little helps.

VISIT multiple banks in your area. If you can't open an account ON THE SPOT, pick a different bank.
