guy advise?

Question

There was a guy that I liked and he went over to me in the beginning of the school year and told me hi, he asked how I was and my name. I was scared to I told him and forgot to ask his, then I left. The next day he was with his friends and he saw me and said he was single. I found out he liked me but never aproached him. I began to get feelings, so I tried to smile when I see him and tell him hi. Every time he sees me he looks at me and then looks away like if he didn't notice, I think he still likes me but he ignores me when he sees me. I want to talk to him, he is dating no one and does not go to any classes with me or lunch. I don't know if I should approach him since it seems like he stopped trying. Also the only chances I do have of approaching him are when he is with his friends, what do you think?

Don't know why he would stop approaching you, it's obvious he does like you
A number of reasons why he doesn't approach you may be, he's too shy to, or playing hard to get
You can still approach him and open up to him, you said the only time you approach him is when he's with his friends, then you can approach him more at that time and try to get closer to him.

I'd say go to him, maybe wait till the end of lunch while his friends are leaving to class and ask if you can walk with him to his class. Then say whatever is on your mind. He could be just as shy as you are and hes already made the first move.
