The Crimea has been part of Russia for over 250 years. Think of it as southern California with ports, US naval bases and lots of retired military. Then, a hispanic democrat President gives southern California to Mexico and it is again part of Mexico for about 50 years. Then the USA takes southern California back because Mexico invited China to run the ports and naval bases. That is a pretty good analogy of Crimea. You are short on knowledge.
