Safe Video to Audio Converter?
I'm looking for a software which can convert video to audio (I'm trying to download the audio of backing track video so I can use it). I've tried downloading software before, but I've always ended up with either Trojans, Worms, or pesky, unwanted apps. Is there a free, safe software that can do what I want it to do?

FFmpeg is a library used by many wrapper apps such as VLC player. because its open source many people also have downloaded it and provided their own wrapper dos box EXE. if you are clever enough you could download just the library with its dos box wrapper exe which would allow you to convert any input to any output(within reason) otherwise you need one of the other more commercial options One converter i have used which does OFFER to install other software but which you CAN CHOOSE not to install is DVDvideoSoft this includes a STUDIO with many wrappers to do many things, such as download youtube video to MP3. you can either install one bit at a time, or the studio which wraps them all up in a simple gui
