How do I tell if my computer has a 128 bit encryption?
I'm trying to apply for a credit card as I've never had one before and plan to start building credit.
The card website I'm applying for says I need a 128 bit encryption on my computer.
I googled how to check but the results told me how to check if my browser supports it. Rather than checking if I have it.
Maybe those are the same thing but I want to be sure.
Thank you.

Any "current" operating system / browser will support that. If you are trying to access the site from your ancient Win 95 PC, well you shouldn't be, and it likely wont work. Win 7, 8, 10, current Apple OS, and Current Linux distros will work, as well as Android and Apple phone / tablets.
The encryption is handled by the web browser. All it means is the data being sent to and from the bank web page is encrypted to a decent level, making it very hard for any hacker to steal your banking info but capturing the data packets.

The encryption is provided by the browser. It is not part of the actual operating system.
If your browser does not work properly with the website, then it is missing the features that you need, so go ahead and try it.
I hope this helps.

For your purposes, it's the same thing. (Any reasonably modern computer will support that level of encryption.)
