Well, Tony Canzoneri would be at a significant height and reach disadvantage against Manny, and Manny has also campaigned at higher weight classes, so it is likely he would also be the naturally bigger man.

I also, tend to be from the school of thought, that in ALL SPORTS... over time, athletes get bigger, stronger, faster, and better than previous generations. Also, for athletes.. Modern nutrition is superior with experts calculating their diets, they're also taking supplements that didn't exist before, doing advanced science based conditioning training, and boxing trainers have also gotten better too. Boxing has also become more international since Tony Canzoneri's time, with a bigger talent pool, meaning that those who rise at the top of the sport back then, might not make it quite that far today!

With that said I watched the entire video you posted, and read up on Tony Canzoneri. Its hard to tell from the black and white old-school footage, but he looked reasonably fast and strong. He also slips fairly well. But, he also has an awkward... typically lowered guard, and looks defensibly vulnerable. Also, out of 175 fights, he has 24 losses! The guy was very beatable! Compared to six losses in 67 fights. If you multiply 67 by 3, that takes Manny to 204 fights, and if you multiply 6 losses by three that takes us to 18 losses, which is still a good bit less than 24.

I honestly don't think Canzoneri could beat a prime version of Pacquaio, and I don't very many could. I have to say Manny Pacquiao, and probably by KO!

I guess MP would overpower Canzoneri. Manny's power was off the charts anywhere below 147.
