I accidentally left my boneless wings out overnight from 8pm-10am. They were in a moderately sealed plastic to go container. Safe to nuke?

Update:

I'm really hungry guys... so I ate them anyway. I'll let you guys know if I get sick but someone who actually knows a bit about how long food keeps please inform me of safe practice regarding deep fried chicken.

Thank you in advance.

The rule has to do with the safety zone. Food can safely been left in an environment where the temperature is between 40 degrees F and 140 degrees F for nor more than about 3 hours. That's in total, so whatever amount of time the chicken was out in that temperature range at the restaurant or the store or in transit counts towards the three hours. Once it's been in that temperature range longer than 3 hours, you run an increasing risk of food poisoning. Food that is particularly salty or acidic (e.g. has vinegar in it) can go a bit longer. 14 hours out at room temperature is definitely sketchy.
