USPS in transit but no location?

Priority shipment from Savannah GA to Houston TX. Not necessarily worried about the length of time - just curious as to why it makes the extra step of saying it's in transit to the destination without putting a location where it was scanned. I'm assuming that means it left the originating post office? If that's the case, wouldn't it say "departed usps facility in route to destination" or something along those lines?

i look at it as a good sign when it says that .. its been processed and is being rushed on the way .. if it has a long list of 'scans' and specific destinations that means its sitting somewhere where they have time to scan it ...
