Why is zivilisation so hostile against nature?

There is nothing left but monocultures,

where could be left at least some spots of nature.

In my opinion it's all about human nature. Some studies show that the earth is overpopulated. People want convenience and amenities and that means urban sprawl. We cut down more and more trees to make room for houses, apartments, shopping malls, roads, and restaurants. Nature on it's own can't fight back against this and is often destroyed in the process. Even rural areas and parks are being polluted and contaminated. In order to stop this we all have to collectively agree that nature is valuable, but sadly many don't see it that way.

Your picture of a few dozen acres does not represent the entire planet. While human activity has significantly reduced natural habitats, enormous swathes still exist (at least for now.)

  • it's not.
