are Mom and dads considered mom and dads during the first Pregnancy or after their first child is born?

    After the kid is born. During the pregnancy you're a parent to be. Just like right now I'm the Dad of one with another on the way, as opposed to a father of 2

    not a "parent" until there is a child that you have to take care of. This means that you might stretch the definition for the pregnant mom, but it won't work for the dad. But people do whatever they want, and really, does it matter?
