What to do for my petruding ears?

I feel so self conscious and ugly with these. I look back in pictures and just cringe. I don t even want to look at myself in the mirror with my hair tucked back. One day I bought I two month supply of ottostick cosmetic ear correcter. I ve been wearing it for two months and no results. I have long hair and always wear it down and everyone asks why I don t put it up. I fear of the names like dumbo and stuff. They stick out of my hair too which makes me mad. I quit ballet because I hated wearing a tight up bun with my ears. Even my ballet teacher who was a guy joked about them. Now that ottostick didn t work like they said it would idk what to do. They were about thirty dollars each and my parents didn t know I bought them. My family isn t very rich at all and I m scared as hell to ask about surgery because they ll just going to curse and lie that my ears are fine to save the money. They don t even know I m self Concious about them. I hate my school and don t want anybody to know about it if I do get the surgery. My sisters going to college soon and my mom won t pay for anything. Please tell me insurance covers it? How do I ask my parents? I m 14 btw

If its not one thing, its another. For you its ears, for my sister it was her nose.

And no, insurance doesn't pay for cosmetic surgery, so you're rather stuck with your ears. Your ballet teacher was an idiot. Don't spend money on things that promise something they couldn't deliver on, and if there were a way out of this without surgery everyone would do it. My sister did get her nose done, it didn't make her life any better. She was still the same person before as after, but now she had a much better nose. You have to just live with it, spend less time worrying about that and more time on your studies so you can go to college, get a good job and afford that surgery.
