Do you British folks pronounce the name "Ralph" as "Rafe"? re: Ralph Vaughn Williams, English composer?

    Rafe is a nickname, Ralph is just Ralph officially.

    Another example is:

    Keith = Keef

    Usually in the UK Ralph is pronounced Ral To rhyme with Sal and then ph. Rafe is completely unknown to me.
