POV characters in a novel?

Hello to the writing community! I am writing a trilogy, in which the first book in the series ends with a dramatic twist. However, I was wondering if I need to have a blunt conclusion for EVERY POV character. One of my seven POV characters does not have a particularly conclusive ending, his last chapter in the book just stating that he s setting off for his new destination. Is this unacceptable? Any thoughts and opinions would be much appreciated.

As a nonprofessional writer, I would say that it is perfectly acceptable to leave the story at a cliffhanger. It gives a sense that the story is still ongoing, and leaves the reader with a sense of speculation as to the story. Without it, the story might be fine, but there is a chance of stagnation.

Additionally, if you decide to create a different series, you have an option to choose from.

If you are interested, there is a book called Hyperion which coincidentally also has 7 different characters (if the infant Rachel is included) with different stories. If you want some inspiration, it is a very good book to read with AWESOME twists :)
