SUGAR RAY ROBINSON vs. GENNADY GOLOVKIN at 160Lbs in a 15 round fight.?

Let's say it's the version of Robinson that just beat Gene Fullmer by TKO. Explain who wins and HOW. Talk about techniques used, strengths, weaknesses, etc.

On paper, this would be a mismatch. SRR had 200 bouts and if you include the non sanctioned fights there's more. GGG had just too few of a fight to be even matched with Ray but then again Robinson had 19 losses and G could have been one of them. Let's take a look at the first man to defeat Ray, Jake Lamotta. It was said Jake gave Robinson all he could handle in their first fight, hence there's the rematch. In their 2nd fight, Jake proved he has the right style to beat Ray. Golovkin actually could be the second coming of Jake but with much more finesse. Now could G actually take out Ray if they are to fight in their prime best? That's the question. Robinson wasnt named as the greatest pound for pound boxer of all time for nothing. He knew every trick and every punch in the book. He had the perfect blend of speed, power, and balance. He definitely is the most complete boxer ever. His jab will keep G honest. I dont think Ray will knock G out but something tells me that Gennady, who havent been in a 15 round fight, wont be able to catch up with Ray. By the 12th round, he just might gassed or be stopped due to cuts.

    Final verdict

Robinson would destroy him. Robinson is the only fighter to knock out Fullmer and he was the greatest boxer of all time, He had too much speed and skill along with power for Golovkin. Robinson did not have any weakness except later in his career he did not train as hard as he did early in his career.
