Why do most people like to use USP/USPS to ship stuff? FedEx is better.?

They actually hold your mail for you, and you can pick it up at their office. USPS/UPS wont do that. They'll only hold it for a time them deliver it to your door. Which is retarded for people who are often gone most of the day ... at this thing called a JOB ... so their mail gets stolen and there isn't much they can do about it. Even with security cameras catching these lowlife thief scum.

Update:

My USPS/UPS office for some reason says they will NOT hold mail for people to get at the post office. Maybe it's just that location but it's infuriating.

On what planet do you think you can't pick up your mail at the post office?   My postal carrier attempts delivery to my home and if I'm not home, he leaves an orange slip so I can either request redelivery on a day of my choice or I can go pick it up at the post office.

By the way, many parcels shipped by FedEx and UPS are STILL delivered to the residence by the USPS.   Almost all of them are in my neck of the woods unless they are shipped overnight or two-day.

When I do get items delivered by FedEx and UPS, it's hit and miss.  Some of the drivers are good and will come bring the package to the door and actually RING the bell.    Other drivers just slow down enough to throw the package in the general direction of the house.

ETA:  "My USPS/UPS office for some reason says..."    WHICH office are you referring to?  USPS (United States Postal Service) and UPS (United Parcel Service) are not the same thing and do not share an office.

All companies are good. No1 is required to hold your mail! the carriers pick the mail up in the morning and out on the road 8am delivering mail. just start requiring a signature meaning your mail isn't delivered well package unless someone sign for it
