Can Zofran prevent stomach flu symptoms?

My family has been passing around the stomach flu... once it hit my house, I took a Zofran as soon as I felt funny in the hopes to prevent any nausea and vomiting. So far so good, but should it help me from get sick? I know that it won't act as any sort of barrier from me getting a virus. I guess my question is can I use the Zofran to stop the symptoms before they get to me.

    It's worth a try, but it doesn't always work on nausea and vomiting caused by a virus.
