I found out after it was given to me that I am allergic to Heparin, a commonly-used blood thinner. The symptoms can manifest as either a fever & hot body temperature, or as extreme chills & shivering. For me, it was the chillls/shivers. When allergic, it tends to destroy your blood platelets, which can cause severe bleeding. This has caused about 100 deaths. I had a "mini-stroke" from it & had two days erased from my memory but, fortunately, no other ill effects. I happens to about 1 person in 750,000.
