And it's a long, time-consuming process doing in-depth background and security checks on would-be migrants.

Republicans who applied to immigrate after Obama won are only just now receiving Canadian Government authorization to pack up and move north.

So don't hold your breath that any liberals who want to run away to Canada to flee Trump will be going anywhere anytime soon.

Last I heard only ONE was planning on still leaving... and I'm not even sure if he has still left. All the rest said it was just a joke. Just goes to show that it's easy to make empty promises when you don't think there is any chance you'll actually have to follow through on them.
