iPhone SE: my left earbud is quieter than my right one?

So I just got this phone a week ago. I was listening to music and I noticed the left earbud was really quiet. It was working fine yesterday. I checked the sound tool in the settings and have tried different ear buds. I'm going to update it now to see if that works. Thoughts?

    Have you tried switching the earbuds between ears. Maybe your left ear has a problem.
