Is it necessary to have a Real Estate license to do home wholesale transactions in California?

Update:

Home wholesaling is getting a home under contract and selling the right to purchase the home to someone else. You are selling a right to buy, not a home.

    I don't know what you mean by a home wholesale transaction but, selling homes ALWAYS requires a realtor license, unless you are selling your own home.

    You must have real estate license, to sell any real estate, other than your own.
