how can I remove sharpie from clear vinyl, without scratching or clouding it?

Update:

I've tried carburetor cleaner, brake cleaner, WD40, and isopropyl eyeglass tissue.

Those are permanent markers but try a little bit of rubbing alcohol and rub it with your finger tip.

If you tried all of those, nothing will take it off except maybe paint thinner or floor wax remover.

Try mixture of alcohol, acetone, ammonia and water applied with a cotton ball and quickly blotted up.

You can't. A Sharpie is forever.

If the item can get wet, try running very hot water over the marked area and with your fingernail, gently scratch the marker off.

Acetone, but try a test first to see if it affects the vinyl.

You could try pure mineral oil.
