If you don't pass the MEPS drug test your enlistment process stops and you are all done with the military. There are no second chances for the MEPS drug test. One and done son.

It's a two-part test. A positive, borderline, or suspect urine screen is sent for follow-up testing with GC-MS which tests down to a much lower threshold. If you're even close on the urine screen you'll 100% fail the GC-MS. That's because a failed test has significant implications. They have to be able to demonstrate to a legal standard that you failed that test. So a urine screen is cross-checked with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry to verify the results for certain.

If you read the military drug policy you will find the military makes no exceptions for preworkouts, supplements, etc. If you fail a drug test because of a supplement or preworkout, that is treated exactly the same as failing for using an illegal drug. You don't have to like it, but that is the standard in the regulation. Those regulations are federal law and they are not subject to opinion.

The military puts the responsibility on the member. You are responsible for what you put in your body. If you don't know what's in it, don't take it. If it risks you failing a test for a "false positive" then don't take it. If you take it and you fail your drug test, the responsibility falls on you. There are no exceptions made for those products. Military members have been kicked out for using hemp products, herbal supplements, anabolic precursors, preworkouts... you name it.

If you fail your drug test, you are all done with the military.
