Need help reading Crochet pattern.?

I am a self taught crocheter following a pattern for the first time. I am a bit confused in the numbering for round 2.

The instructions are as follows:

Sc 8 adjustable ring

rnd1: sc2 in each st around (16 st)

rnd2: *sc 3, sc2 in nest st; rep from * 3 more times (20 st)

rnd 3: *sc 1 sc 2 in next; rep from *9 more times

for round 2 am i just not going all the way around the circle? just half way? and then for round 3 would i be crocheting in the opposite direction? So it is only growing half the circle?

Any help is appreciated. thanks!

The number of sts shown at the end of the round gives you a clue. In round 2 you make 4 increases, increasing from 16 to 20 sts. You do that by working a 1 sc in 3 sts then 2sc in the next stitch. Repeat that 3 more times till the end of the round.

In round 3 you do 1 sc in the first stitch then 2sc in the next stitch. Repeat all the way around and you should have 30 sts at the end of round 3.
