My mom is 88 yrs. old. She had my ex sister-in-law sign a promissory note more than 4 years ago for the amount of $10,000.?

Update:

My mom is 88 yrs. old. She had an ex fam member sign a promissory note more than 4 yrs. ago for $10,000. Can she go after her for the money now? It stated that if she remarried or sold her previous house she had to pay up. Both of those things happened. Do my mom have any jurisdiction in retrieving her money?

Yes, definitely! With a signed promissory note, you shouldn't have a problem. Contact an attorney as soon as possible! Good luck.

If you're too STUPID to actually KNOW what a QUESTION looks like TOUGH! I'm not helping an idiot that doesnt' know the damn difference between a declarative statement and a question. Maybe you need to re-enroll in school and start over from the 1st grade and pay attention this time in ENGLISH CLASS!

    That isn't a question, it's a statement.
