Depending on which country you area citizen of, you may require a visa or an eTA ( electronic Travel Authorization ). See the link below

You'll need to pay for the airline ticket, unless you're a really strong swimmer.
You'll also have to go through customs when you land (even if you're swimming), but they don't really want any payment from you.
