Finish a 4 block quilt wall hanger?

My aunt was teaching me how to quilt and use my sewing machine during New Years break and she left before she could tell me how to finish it. She mentioned something about a video telling me how to finish it but I can't find anything. She made me cut out a fleece backing that's 2 inches bigger than the top, and a black back that's also 2 inches bigger than the backing. And now I'm done with the cutting and don't know what to do now.

There are lots of ways to "finish" a quilt! The links given by a previous answerer show a few of those ways, but the links below will show you many more including one "easiest" way.

So the easiest way would be to do something called the "quick-turn" or "inside-out" method. That one will also eliminate having to add a separate binding around the edge of the quilt to hide the unfinished edges of the 3 quilt layers (the quilt "sandwich" comprised of the top, the batting, and the backing that makes up a traditional quilt).

See *my* answer in this previous question for info on doing that method, which also describes the "tying" technique which would be the easiest way to keep all the layers from shifting (rather than actually quilting a quilt):

    ...more about tying here:

And many of my other basic making-a-quilt answers are linked to in this one answer, but any links after the first 3 will have to be copie-and-pasted into your browser due to YA new rules:
