What was the total COST of Bush's vacations while in office. All I can find is the number of vacations some of which were at the ranch.?

They were far less because: 1) The distances travelled were much shorter; and 2) They were in places where the cost of housing all of the security and other support people were much lower. For example, Crawford Texas is less expensive than Martha's Vineyard and Hawaii.

Him flying his entire staff back and forth from TEXAS all the time cost way more than any Obama vacation. As far as Obama's India trip, some idiot at Fox News forgot to translate from RUPEES!!! lol true story.

They did not cost anything, if you think about it for just a moment; whether any President is "on vacation", or sitting in the White House, or traveling to far-off lands, they still have full-time Security, and the various aircraft designated "Air Force One" are still fully-staffed & maintained.....even the FUEL costs are basically fixed, because one of those planes is aloft all the time.....

I think the ranch was pretty cheap. Shorter haul, and easier to control, and accommodations would be cheap. Plus, a one-time setup as opposed to jetting around the world.
He used to go to a military base near DC and ride is bike on the weekends.
